Ms Megan Brady
Head of Year 12
Megan
joined Jumeirah College in 2022 and quickly made a positive impact with her
passion for supporting the well-being of students and fostering a strong
academic environment. Having studied History at the University of Leicester and
completing a PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University, she brings both expertise and
enthusiasm to her teaching.
Before
relocating to Dubai, Megan worked as a Deputy Head of History within a school
in Rotherham in the North of England for 3 years. This experience as a leader
in both department and pastoral teams has helped her to ensure students are
supported and can achieve their full potential both academically and
personally.
Megan
is committed to enriching students’ experiences within school, taking part in
coaching both football and netball teams across different key stages at JC. Her
aim is to ensure each student takes part in an extra-curricular activity to
build their skills beyond the classroom. These activities also provide
opportunities to strengthen confidence and can foster a sense of belonging and
community.
At the start of the 2024-25 academic year, Megan was promoted to the role of Head of Year 12, where she is dedicated to guiding both students through an important phase of their education. She intends to help every student achieve their full potential and prepare for the next steps in their journeys after JC, whilst ensuring all students prioritise their well-being, making sure they are fully equipped to play their part in the world.
